About

Built like a
shopping street.

AniDora Events is an Edmonton event and marketing company. We design, build and run pop-culture markets — anime, hobby, handmade and collectibles — inside the shopping centres fans and families already visit, and we do it as a repeatable format that can open in any centre in Canada.

The idea

A shotenkai (商店会) is the merchants' association of a Japanese shopping street — a row of small shops that share a street, a festival calendar and a crowd. We take that shape and rebuild it for a weekend inside an operating mall: back-to-back booths under a shared backdrop, artists next to collectors' shops next to a bakery, all of it in the corridor where the mall's own traffic already flows. Admission is free because the street works best when it is full.

What we owe vendors

A curated roster, so nobody is boxed in by lookalike neighbours. A ready booth: table, chair and backdrop in place before the dock opens. A staffed exhibitor desk from load-in to teardown. A feature on our channels before the show and your booth photos after it. Straight terms with dates attached. And no commission — what you sell is yours.

What we owe shopping centres

A weekend event that runs inside your hours, uses your common area, brings a new audience through the doors and leaves the corridor exactly as it found it — with a report afterward on what it did for traffic. Three shows a year per centre is the model.

Where we are going

The first street opened at Sherwood Park Mall in August 2026. The second, HAROWEEN, opens at Bonnie Doon in October. More Edmonton centres follow, then Calgary and Toronto, with the same team, the same booth system and the same standards at every one.

Volunteer with us

Show weekends run on a small crew: help desk, dock, floor and photo support. If you want to be on the street both days and see how a show is built, tell us which days and what you are good at. Every volunteer gets an acknowledgement letter, an appreciation letter and a thank-you gift at the end of the show.
